Webinar 1: Preparing your SharePoint Extranet / Portal.
Presenter: Scott Brickey
This webinar will focus on access to SharePoint for non-domain accounts, such as customers or vendors. We will consider the advantages and disadvantages for several approaches, and demonstrate implementing a third party component to supply Live ID, Google ID, and other OpenID authentication options.
Webinar 2: Managing Content and Maximizing Search.
Presenter: Patrick Tucker
The session will focus on the role of content types, document metadata and SharePoint’s Managed Metadata Taxonomy Store. Content types help to consistently identify data that should be associated with documents apart from their content. This metadata can then be used for tracking and searching documents. Consistent tagging can be implemented by using taxonomy terms which can be specifically exposed to Search to consolidate the location and presentation of documents in a single source.
